Ok....SO hoping to take delivery of my new to me RS6 shortly
Just wanted to get peoples opinions and recommendations on Audi service centres in the London area. I have the Audi extended warranty which I intend to keep so have to stick with Audi. I know their rep is not great but hoping you can help me chose the best of a bad bunch...
Saying that though. When I had my B7 RS4 , I had great experiences with Camberley Audi and Rob there but he moved on a number of years ago
Yet another post from me about servicing in the London area!
Re: Yet another post from me about servicing in the London area!
I have nothing but good things to say about Audi West London.
I’m sure experiences are varied but if you’re prepared to discuss pricing you pretty quickly and painlessly get to pricing comparable to independent Audi garages (which says more about the independents’ pricing than Audi tbh).
The aspect I value most is the scale of the workshop. I.e., they can operate at volume (there a couple of underground floors dedicated to servicing) and they have a reasonable stock holding of often needed stock parts. All of which means they can do most things within a couple of days with little delay waiting for parts or ramp time - which when coupled with pushing for reasonable pricing does it for me.
I used to use Jack Barclay (nearer) but they never had even regular parts in stock and so every job automatically had an overnight delay after diagnosis.
I get the sense that to save money outside of main dealers you have to go to ‘under the arches’ type mechanics because Audi branded independents are only marginally cheaper than main dealers on older cars (granted the independents have diagnostic equipment and plenty of know how).
When I replaced pads and discs all round on my C7, West London was comparable in price to all independents AND had the parts in stock.
I was in and out in 4 hours the day after I rang them - I think I paid £2,400 which was literally the same as independents were quoting but with a few days’ lead time.
