Car won’t start.
Jumped in the car this morning. Car turns over but won’t fire.
Out in it all day yesterday and not a problem.
No faults on auto scan logged.
Anyone got time to help ?

Re: Car won’t start.
Who said something rude about it within earshot???
First thought with mystery not starting and no codes is immobiliser issue. Or fuel pump relay.
Is trying to catch or just doing the dry sounding churn?

Re: Car won’t start.
Could be crank position sensor.
Also, check your fuse 29 to make sure it hasn't blown. Unlikely but it would result in the symptoms you describe.

Often with the crank position sensor it will start after a few tries. Don't overheat your starter motor.

Re: Car won’t start.
Hi Ben this is after changing central locking code.
I have changed it back to where it was.
Was wondering if that has anything to do with it.
For example immobiliser ?
RAC due within 4 hours.
Dry churn sound. Not even trying to fire up.
Then again I used the car all day yesterday without any problems.

Re: Car won’t start.
The CCM shouldn't make any difference to the immobiliser. You can always change it back to what it was to see if that makes a difference, but I'd be extremely surprised.
Check fuse 32, also.
Give Grizz a call. You must be his best customer.

Re: Car won’t start.
If it was used yesterday ok after messing with the central locking it shouldn't be that.
Re: Car won’t start.
Sometimes engines flood and the only way to get them to start is to pull the fuel pump fuse and turn the engine over until the fuel is expelled. I've never had this with the RS6 but I've had it on plenty of other cars.

Re: Car won’t start.
If it has flooded you should be able to smell fuel.
Is the SAI still on it or mapped out?

Re: Car won’t start.
Did you check the fuses?
Have you tried several times to start? Better put the battery on charge as a precaution.

Just throwing it out there: Fuel pump?
Do you hear it prime when opening the door after a while closed & locked?. Does it prime when ignition on?
