Wheel speed sensor/Abs sensor

Post by SimonBurchett1984 » Thu Mar 17, 2022 4:19 pm

:( Afternoon guys and girls

As title says I’m after a wheel speed sensor for my 2004 Rs6.
I believe the part number to be 4b0927807p. I can’t find one anywhere the 3 local Audi garages say they no longer list the part as well as all the local motor factors. EBay says theirs one in Latvia for over £200 and another for £55?? No one seems to answer on eBay!
Does anyone know of a magical place where I might be able to find one?
Also the MOT is up soon and I’ve asked nicely if they could ignore that part but he didn’t seem keen :(
Thanks in advance for any help.

This might be it??

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/332549429061?

If not the seller looks like they might be the sort of place that could get one.

I should have one but I need to remove it from the donor car. How long can you wait?

Thank you srichards looking at it I’ve just realised I made a rookie error and didn’t put that I need the near side rear. I will try contacting them.
Astrosquirrel - the MOT runs out next week but I can wait longer.

The part number you posted is for the front right.

Bugger! Been looking on the audi.7zap parts lists and there are 4 numbers I’m guessing one for each corner?
2A - 4B0 927 803 E speed sensor with wiring for pad wear
13A - 4B0 927 807 N speed sensor
13C - 4B0 927 807 S speed sensor F>>4B-4-900 476
13(C) - 4B0 927 807 P speed sensor F 4B-4-900 477>>
Anyone able to point me in the right direction for the near side rear?

The parts catalogue is confusing on this. I’ll have a look tomorrow.

13 depends on your vin. What are the last 6 numbers of yours?

So the 2 front sensors are identical and are 4B0 927 803E

Rear right sensor is 4B0 927 807N

Rear left is 4B0 927 807S if your VIN is lower than 900477 otherwise it's 4B0 927 807P.

So your rear left would be 4B0 927 807P.

I don't know if it's possible to physically swap the left and right sensor at the rear, but if it is, I would do this before spending money on a sensor. This is because often an ABS module failure first manifests as a wheel speed sensor fault.
