Tyre Advice - Rear Puncture

Post by StewartW » Thu Feb 03, 2022 6:15 am

Another newbie question:

Need some help and guidance on tyre replacement as I got a puncture on N/S rear. Is is still advisable to change both rears to make sure tyre tread match?

I’m currently running P Zero 285/30 R21 with approx 4-5mm on each..

All help appreciated :beerchug:

Shame to waste a good one on the opposite side, considering you may get another puncture again. Either change both (to Michelin PS4s - and be amazed at the difference!) or look for a part worn PZero with the same tread depth to replace the punctured one. Can a garage not repair the puncture?

Thanks Saudirick,

Appreciate the help, makes sense but still not sure I’d want to mix different brands between front and rear..i was more concerned between different tyre depth per side.
