R8 power steering cap

Does anyone know if the metal power steering cap from an Audi R8 will for the reservoir on my C6 RS6?

Yes and No - It's not a direct like for like replacement as the R8 cap has a male thread instead of a female thread but if you look here - viewtopic.php?f=47&t=141053&p=954034 - you can cut the threaded section out of both caps, swap them over and glue the C6 section onto the R8 cap to make it fit.

I boughtbthe R8 cap as I had read it would fit.

When it didn't rather than just waste the money I decided to adapt it to fit as above....
