As well as recommendations, could you also add where you bought from, please.

There are a few brands.

Brake pads
1. DBA brake pads. Currently they are offering a street version. Their XP version wont be available until later

2. Project MU

3. Endless - I am getting the MX72 for my rears as my fronts are CCB.

4. EBC

Rotors
1. Girodisc
2. Tarox
3. HHC - I use this to upgrade the size to 370mm for the rears.

I ran EBC Redstuffs in my B9 RS4 - front and back, improved pedal feel and the initial bite. Markedly improved the brake performance as OEM was 'underwhelming'. Mine was an ex Audi UK press car so had likely been hammered for the 1st 6,000 miles of its life so the brake performance may have not been truly representative.

When I had pads fitted to the current RSQ3 I noted that its actually the same pad at the front as the RS4. So better performance, negligible disc wear, no squeaks and little dust - not much not to like.

Before you changed on the RS4, did you have squealing brakes? The squealing on the RS4 is my least favourite part of the car at the moment so if redstuffs solve it then I'll happily spend the money and break out the spanners even though the rears are brand new.

I’ve been running Redstuff on the RS4 for a few months now. I always use Redstuff on all my cars before I had the RS4. Redstuff never did squeal on my previous cars, but it does on the RS4 unfortunately.

I like that I have to press harder on the pedal for the Redstuff than original pads, which I find too grabby and has too much braking power at slow speeds.

I am on standard pads as its only a road car I dont notice any problem with them. 25 to 30% worn after 6.5k miles so they will see out my ownership I would imagine....

No squeal. Now the M5 had the world's noisiest brakes, had people come up to me in car parks and comment!

That's unfortunate, I've run Redstuff on another car for years with no issue so had planned to switch to them for the RS4, but maybe it's worth trying to clean up the existing pads first to see if I can cure the squeal.

Yes- they squealed. Seems to be an Audi RS OEM pad issue. The Redstuffs also wear the disc faces minimally - so on the current RS I have two shiny discs and no lip on the outer edge at 10K plus miles.
