Anyone know this C7?

Post by stevo55 » Tue Oct 05, 2021 9:37 am

https://www.sedgleygroup.co.uk/cars/aud ... ant-49992/

Spec is excellent, miles are good (would prefer lower but still low) and the Eventuri intake is a bonus (what benefits would that give apart from increase airflow?) plus the Capristo is a nice touch.
Car with those mods I would say has also been tuned? Maybe I’m wrong, if it’s a known car then that’s fine and if you’re going to spend £3.5k on an intake then the tune would be a good one?
Car known on the forum and also I’ve never dealt with Sedgley.
Anyone?

High spec for sure, but should be getting a later PE for that money
Plus a white roof is :dung:

Apart from the Capristo not sure if it is? Red brake callipers on that car plus no Eventuri (fitted later if so?) and can’t see if it has B & O?
Capristo sounds good though!

Black on black on black would be like sitting in a dark hole. Had lighter seats on my C7 and it worked well. I do prefer darker though.
As for price yes you’d think it should be a PE but getting a PE with half decent spec now for under £55k is almost impossible unless crazy
Mileage. Most are £55-67k which is nuts.
Debating whether to not bother and just wait it out and see when the market inevitably drops (am told C7’s are a good bet for strong residuals). Already have another car(s) to drive and I struggle to justify shelling out a ton of cash on a car that won’t be in use all the time.

Its got the HUD, silver roof lining, pano roof, carbon trim pack and the B&O stereo (you can see it right at the end of the video) in common so thought it likely that it would be, can't be many specs like that which also have the Capristo in the UK, surely most would have gone Milltek or Akra? Wheels look to have been re-painted so I guess one of its owners could have also had callipers done at same time, not a massive job in the grand scheme of things plus they're obviously not shy of spending money on the car!

Fair one and could be the same-hopefully not a proper Press Car as they tend to get hammered and abused by Ham Fisted journos over a short period of time. Joe Achilles always comes across well in his reviews.

Looks like its worth investigating for sure. Great spec even before you consider the Intake and Exhaust. Potential for it to be tuned but not guaranteed. Low mileage too. All things considered it looks like a great car for the money. Potential for it to have been well looked after as well.
RS6 PE - Current
RS4 (B8.5) 2015 - Sold
A4 3.0 TDI Quattro BE Avant - Gone
Focus ST170 - Garaged

Hope so,
Never dealt with Sedgley and I’m approaching with caution as there are a few very negative reports on Trustpilot. Depends on what I can find out about the car-there are some very abused examples out there that’s for sure.

Was at Sedgley 2 days ago, looking at an RS4. Took a cursory look at this and it looked quite rough round the edges

Thanks for the heads up-it is 6 years old but under miles and a little voice in my head is saying ‘thrashed car’-if you’re going to stick an Eventuri on you’re going to maximise the affect of that and if it’s looking tired they may be 41k hard miles. I’m a bit wary of Sedgley Cars as well due to some of the bad reports I read.
The used car market is insane at the moment and I’m really struggling with paying over the odds. A PE with good spec is £55-65k + and for that you can also get an E63S or M5 Comp which will both be better tech and handling and the exhaust on the Merc stock is outrageous.

If you are localish have you seen the grey one at Phantom motors in wigan?

I saw that one today whilst perusing another car, and that car is in brill condition not as spec heavy from my quick look, but Phantom stock looks worlds better preped than Sedgley's

I’m Cambridgeshire based but always prepared to go further for the right car (flew to Glasgow to collect my C6), looking at a number of options at the moment. They must have great lighting at Phantom as their cars always look immaculate.
