AUDI RS6 C7.5 with C8 22” x 10.5” ET19 GENUINE ALLOYS
AUDI RS6 C7.5 with C8 22” x 10.5” ET19 GENUINE ALLOYS
I’m after a bit of advice if anyone out there has fitted their AUDI RS6 C7.5 with C8 22” x 10.5” ET19 GENUINE ALLOYS or similar aftermarket size.
I’ve just purchased a nearly new genuine set of RS6 C8 alloys (without tyres, which suited me as I can get the tyre size choice for the best outcome) from a 1000 mile car
I have done a test fit today and I’m happy with the fit of the outside of the rim to the arch as these would be 0.3 of a mm less than the standard alloys I have on the car (please see the last 4 photos) already fitted with 15mm spacers on the front and 5.3mm less at the rear as I test fitted both fronts and rears with 15mm and 20mm spacers respectively, after checking WHEEL OFFSET CALCULATOR websites, it seems that fitting the 22” alloys with factory fit 285/30/22 OEM tyres may well cause issues with the suspension strut as the profile height is nearly 15mm more than the 275/35/20 tyres which would mean the overall circumference being 30mm more.
So my QUESTION IS: has anyone successfully fitted these alloys yet to a C7 and if so what tyres did they run on them, I’m seriously swinging to 295/25/22 (obviously ride comfort may well be compromised, not an issue for me as this is not a daily driver) but the profile gain is only 2.9mm and circumference 6mm, which as my photos show there is around 20mm from rim to suspension strut and with little or no additional profile gain I’m feeling confident that no suspension issues will occur.
CERAMIC BRAKES: also as you can see there is even more clearance for the ceramic brakes so no issues there.
I’m not interested in anyone’s views on the size, look or stance at this stage just practical issues that anyone may have experienced historically.
PS : sorry about some of the photos as I can’t seem to get them properly viewed, but if you click on each they align as intended.
I have looked tirelessly online but nothing comes up with offsets (it’s like a closely guarded secret) for anyone with 22” on the C7.
Thoughts please and constructive feedback greatly appreciated.

Re: AUDI RS6 C7.5 with C8 22” x 10.5” ET19 GENUINE ALLOYS
Thanks Brooner, I have seen these from trawling the web, but the elusive offsets never seem to be mentioned.
After more research yesterday and ringing a few alloy wheel retailers for the same size alloy wheel and tyre combination they have quoted an offset of ET38 using a spacer of 12mm giving an overall eventual offset of ET26 so 7mm less poke on the front and rear than the Genuine C8 RS6 alloys, which is quite a bit.
I guess no one has tried fitting these yet, or they have (maybe with the standard 285/30/22 tyres) and not succeeded hence no pics on the web, which may not be the answer I was looking for or wanted to hear, I can see a set of C8 RS6 alloys up for sale soon - ha ha.
Or, I take the plunge and go with my gut after all the calcs and test fits and order a new set of 295/25/22 tyres as far as I can see it should just about work.

Well, to my surprise my post has had very little response, I think this maybe a first, but fortune favours the brave.
AUDI TPMS - C7 RS6 - I have 4 x brand new genuine AUDI TPMS VALVES, part number 7PP907275F confirmed with my local AUDI STEALER, sorry I mean dealer (AUDI wanted nearly £500.00 for all 4,
), all 4 delivered for £122.00 inc vat, not from the dealer I hasten to add, and all with a very recent production date.
MICHELIN PILOT SPORT 4S - I have also purchased brand new (awaiting delivery) 4 x Michelin 295/25 ZR22 Y PILOT SPORT 4S XL tyres, the best deal I could find was COSTCO surprisingly, at £951.12 for the set which equates to £237.78 inc vat each per corner, this included a £100 Michelin supported discount for buying 4 tyres. Way cheaper than Camskill, Blackcircles etc and any other retailer I could find, gone are the days for ordering outside of the U.K, as brexit has put a spanner in the works there.
Costco charge a mere £8.40 per tyre fitted and balanced, however a word or warning, if the profile is less than 35 and the size is more than 20” they add a firm caveat that if any damage occurs then they are not liable, in addition if the tyre selected is not on their FITMENT guide for your vehicle then they will not fit the tyre, so after all the above I am getting a local tyre specialist who I have used frequently for the past 15 years, they normally charge me £10 per wheel as I am a frequent client, but due to the profile they have stated £20 per wheel, fitted, balanced and placed on my vehicle.
I’ll update again in a week or so with pics of the car, alloys and tyres installed, can’t wait

Those bad boys have arrived, feel really grippy and a DOT DATE of 3021 so fresh from the Michelin factory.
Won’t be long now until mounted and fitted to the car.

Sneak preview, just got back from the tyre fitters and they’re on and fit like a glove, no catching or rubbing.

Re: AUDI RS6 C7.5 with C8 22” x 10.5” ET19 GENUINE ALLOYS
Yes, RIDE QUALITY, I must say that apart from the actual FITMENT and any rubbing, catching and fouling of the arches, this was my main concern. I am pleased to say that I have not noticed any adverse ride quality, even though I’ve gone from 275/35/20 to 295/25/22, but I do think the softer compound of the MICHELIN PS4’s may have something to do with it as the previous tyres were PIRELLI PZERO’s and the compound on those is much harder, I’ve gone from wearing wooden clogs to moccasin slippers - ha ha.
So in summary, all is really good, the expensive test gamble I think has definitely paid off

Re: AUDI RS6 C7.5 with C8 22” x 10.5” ET19 GENUINE ALLOYS
Wonder if you load extra kg will it rub
Re: AUDI RS6 C7.5 with C8 22” x 10.5” ET19 GENUINE ALLOYS
I’m pretty confident they don’t rub, I had all the old alloys in the back of the car on the way back from the tyre fitters and went over a few undulating roads (which would certainly identify any rubbing) and not a hint of catching. In addition I went on an empty car park yesterday and tried the car on full lock both ways and again no catching etc.
I ran 20mm rear spacers and 15mm front spacers on the original 20”x9.5” alloys (as detailed at the beginning of this thread) with no issues whatsoever and this alloy and tyre set up at the rear now sits as Ride height gain 2.9mm with an Arch gap loss 2.9mm (both very minimal) compared to my existing wheel even with 20mm spacers gives this new wheel an inner rim which is 30.7mm closer to the suspension strut (or 10.7mm without the 20mm spacer). The outer rim pokes out 5.3mm less than before.
So in summary even less poke and more clearance than my test set with the spacers - PERFECT.
Oh, and the great thing about these C8 22” genuine AUDI alloys are that they are forged and not cast, again bullet proof OEM quality hopefully, as I know there’s been a lot of unfortunate stories on here about the C7 21” cast alloys cracking and buckling easily, only time will tell.
Hope this helps anyone considering the same journey.
