
that posses the inevitable q, what would be the best way to get more noise w/o introducing that awful droning sound (at low revs)?

Here's a few pics I took, I did mine like this as Mon-Fri I used the back boxes but weekends were for the straight pipe. It took about 5 mins per side to swap between back box and straight pipe and the hardest part I think was getting the arm out of the rubber hangers until I got one of the "special tools" from Halfords specifically for that job. I had the actual work done at MIJ in Birmingham as I passed through from Kent to Stoke.
When I did this in 2015 yes it was, however today, no idea! The only time that the noise was ever an issue was, as mentioned above, during that 30 sec cold start. Other than that is was just a little louder than a Milltek at idle.
Yeap, flanges were solely so I could quickly swap them over at the weekend.
