C7/7.5 fuel pump/s

Post by Asian Panda » Tue Jun 29, 2021 1:34 pm

Hi guys

Anyone know how many fuel pumps the C7/7.5 have and what the OEM part number is?

Are they prone to breaking down?

Think mine may be on there way out.

Thanks

There are two. I don’t know the pet number, had mine replaced and oil ch age, filters etc for around £800. If your oil smells of petrol and you get puffs of black smoke - they’re on their way out. Don’t risk running the car on petrol diluted oil!

The HPFP are 079125025AJ at £336.59 each and the O rings are WHT005184 at £7.43 each

At that price you may as well go down the Autotech route. I think they’re around £800 for the pair including seals IIRC.

Cheers guys.

I think my pumps are on there way. I'm losing torque under load. Had the car on Dyno and was sitting at 580 (rounded up) ft-lb with 680whp.

Did you replace one or both and how were you able to tell or find out?

Replaced both. When the engineer removed them, you could see the weeping on one of them. Beat to replace both. It was obvious they were going as the oil smelt of petrol where they were leaking. Remove your oil cap and have a sniff.

Is your car tuned? Because it is very strange that they started die at this low mileage
