Hey Guys - planing on sticking some poly bushes on front suspension
Do you think this is a good kit , Anyone used/know those:

Or maybe have other suggestions ?

Re: Suspension Poly Bushes
Whilst I have no experience with the RS, I can only say that other kits I have put on other cars have made the ride a fair bit harder and harsher.
The last one I did was my VR6 which tracked the ring on a few occasions so the harsher ride wasn't an issue as it had purpose.

Re: Suspension Poly Bushes
according to the site the Red ones are supposed to be similar hardness to original ones. Yellow ones are a bit harder.

Mate. I’ve used powerflex before and found them
Perfect. Did the rear of my rs4 and had non issues. Have just replaced the rear tie rods and anti roll bar bushes on the 6 and they don’t feel any different

I've found poly bushes fine on big cars my big E34 touring was great, but on smaller stuff not so. They ruined my DC2 integra and I swapped back to metelastics (hardrace and OE) after a couple of months. I'd expect them to be fine on this big old barge!

This may be why I found them really hard on my VR ? Only ever used them on small hot hatch type cars.Puggie wrote: ↑Sun Jun 06, 2021 11:33 amI've found poly bushes fine on big cars my big E34 touring was great, but on smaller stuff not so. Re: Suspension Poly Bushes
Very much depends on the suspension design I think. The multilink design on the rear of the DC2 requires the bush to twist as well as rotate on its main axis and poly bushes really dont work for that. I found poly made the stability on turn in awful and confidence near the limit was just none existent. Its also worth considering as poly rotate they have no spring to them this means you effectively reduce your suspension spring rate a bit. They have been good on other vehicles though.Mark-RS wrote:This may be why I found them really hard on my VR ?
