My dealer has offered me an RS4 saloon - delivery 10 days!!!
I have been getting bored of waiting for my Sprint Blue RS4 Avant for so long. Looks like October delivery.
My Audi dealer called me today and said he can offer me a new RS4 in Sprint Blue in 10 days time! Specced just as mine - but it is obviously a saloon. Includes the tech pack (TV, DVD sat nav etc). Black bucket seats etc.
Jeez - have to decide whether to go for it......
Difficult one, but a nice position to be in.
What do you guys think? Pass and wait or take it to have pretty much the first on the road? Dealer has said I can keep the Avant order going then swap/sell/exchange it when the Avant is ready.

What's the discount?

Maserati GranTurismo GTS Auto, S3 Sportback, TT2 3.2 Roadster, Disco3 for the heavy stuff.

I like the big boot and more weight over the rear axle. Seriously though, its interesting that these days you can always get brand new cars that are not meant to be available. Look at the Aston V8.

This is worrying....
I know Giles is Mr Audi and has probably single-handedly fund his dealer over the last 5 years but....
Why are these cars all available when there should be a waiting list. I know the economy is not in great shape but this does not give me a good feeling for residuals.
Anyway, take the saloon now and agree a part-ex price now against your Avant in October, subject to a certain mileage.

I find it hard to believe they could supply a car in 10 Days - especially as they are not meant to be sold before 1st March. Cancelled orders are released to the sales office so they can allocate the car to the next waiting customer, a dealer found to be breaking this rule would definately feel the rath of Audi
You may know, if the customer changes the name to the one on the order book when the car DOES arrive, dont Audi cancel the order with loss of deposit? If the order was cancelled AFTER the car arrived at the dealership it becomes even more complicated.Whats supposed to happen is the dealer tells the sales office, who will then arrange to uplift the car from that dealer, so that it can then be offfered to people waiting. However if the car was succesfully registered to the ordering customer - there would be nothing to stop the car being sold "Second Hand" apart from the fact the V% would show an additional owner.
