In the good old days you could get the mating surfaces machined to allow the wheel to sit back in the arch but with brakes being bigger these days you'll probably find there's no clearance between the spokes and the callipers, best thing is to stick 'em in the classifieds, might find one of the RS boys wants a set of rims for track days.

There's a lesson here - carry out a search first - this has been covered sooooo many times in the last 3 years.

p.s. the best advice I can give you is to go for lightweight alloys, not lardy RS4 replicas. Had them on my S4 before the OZ's.

Minimum eta35's maximum 38's ..... rolling the arches on eta 20's (RS4 eta..?) wont give you enough clearence, you got to get em under the arches..... my acid test ..I went to a wheel place in southend --- yeh mate .. have every wheel available mate...... until I went all the way there after a very long night shift, funny that - I turned up they only had eta 30's - fitted 1rim - couldnt get out the workshop - I started taking the piss saying they are reviving Carlos Fandango - anyone got a Hamlet please... then they snapped my locking key on 1 wheel - causing me to show those dopy monkeys how you take off buggered up locking bolts when you dont have a key - not impressed an all I can say to them is - :<beep>_you:
So dont make my mistake as its well tested - got eta 35's on RS6 copy, I will fit em soon - get my dented ones off and post u a piccy if it warms up - maybe I can find the pics of my old car with em on.... i will look when off shift - they but fitted snug - no protrusion at all - hope my waffle helps you...? :kissmyrings:
happy dayz .... party ....
