What are the best tyres for my RS4?

Yes, would never entertain a mixed bag of tyres especially on a high performance jobbie like the RS.

Not sure we have a Haldex on ours - more of a front wheel drive based car but I believe all tyres should be within 2mm of each other to avoid rolling circumstance issues.

I still have Michelin PS2s on mine which were the correct Audi 'RO1' spec for S and RS models, and they are still performing well. Not sure that Michelin do an RO1 tyre for RS models now, but at the time I didn't want any quibbling by my insurance company if the worst happened where they could argue that the correct specified tyres weren't fitted.

I flipped P Zeros (felt the grip was terrible) to Michelin 4S in Feb this year. Not looked back.

Since then, drove London > Marbella and back (through France, Spain), 3k miles, all conditions and road surfaces and have been great. Would replace with same when needed but may move car on.

I replaced the terrible Pirelli P Zeroes with Michelin Pilot Super Sports as soon as I got my RS4 and they performed really well.

I fitted 4 Michelin PS4S last summer that are the evolution of the PSS that I loved... My RS4 is my daily and I do not track with it and those PS4S are until now brilliant with an improvement (again) on the wet compared to the PSS...

I hear good things about the Dunlop SP Sport Max GT tyres I was looking at fitting them all round in a couple of months

checked the prices on blackcircles for a rough price and Michelins are only £4 extra each i would be opting for the Michelins

Is that price in comparison to the dunlops? When i checked it was around £35 more per michelin tyre, both very tyres though

Your correct i had the wrong tyre size in i was looking at 275 instead of 265

No one has a bad word to say about the Michelin PS4S however apparently the top spec Goodyear tyres are also very good.

I have these and can’t fault them. Never been a Michelin fan - have had them before and went right of Pirelli over some Pzero’s that didn’t impress

Well i had the Dunlops fitted last week and what a difference, great tyres

There is no doubt that the MPS4S are the best, but at nearly £250 a corner, they aren't cheap. I like the old PZeros - but they excel in the dry and are less good in the wet. They also go hard with age, but they are nearly £50 per tyre cheaper if that matters to you. And there is a new version, the PZ4 - which I think EVO Magazine rated 3rd in their 2020 tyre test (with the MPS4S's first and the ContiSport 6's in second). Unfortunately Continental don't make them in a the right size.
However, I've also heard that Bridgestone are now producing the S007 in an "R01" Audi recommended tyre, in a 265/30R20 and ASDA are doing them for £190 fitted.
Of course there is the Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 5 (in an Audi R01 fitment) and that's only about £170!
