There is a known issue with the valve spring on cylinder 5 which usually throws up a dtc in the engine ecu. Audi's first response is to update the ecu and then further mechanical work which involves adding some spring plates on cylinders 5-8.
Other issue is the fuel injector on cyl 5 again you would need to monitor fuel pressure and see if it drops when there is still demand for it. Fuel injector replacement is an engine out job
As yours doesnt have a dtc logged it would need further investigation to check if it is this issue or something else

The engine light has now decided to come on, but I won't know what the fault code is until this Saturday when the car goes to get checked....
@morski I'm hoping it's not the latter as that'll be be both expensive and time consuming. I'm hoping for something like a sensor or fuel pump.
But thanks for the heads up.

Quick update.... Fault code given by the engine light as previously mentioned was due to faulty cats. But wait... I don't have any cats as I've straight downpipes hence the engine light.
Coil pack was replaced on cylinder 5 which after testing has proved to alleviate the issue slightly but the car at 5500rpm is now more hesitant than it feeling like its about to cut out.
Guy did say that it only happens under load rather constant which is a good thing???

So back to the guys to see if any of the other coil packs are on there way out.

So I think my saga may be coming to an end... I've recently now replaced all coil packs and plugs and have now removed all mappings so that I'm only running stock ECU and my problem so far appears to have been resolved.
In my opinion, I believe the mapping was the issue as I think it was set up for a higher than safe boost without any further modifications.
But I'm gonna keep an eye on it for the next week and see if it comes back.
Looks like for anyone out there I'd suggest you air on the side of caution with Celtic Tunning maps.

If all goes well I think I'll be going for APR stage 2 map.

Fingers crossed the problem doesn't come back.
