Adaptive light fault after lowering
So I’ve just done the kw v3’s & after doing a long drive up to Gretna Green (170miles) I set off home this morning & after around 70miles the adaptive lights malfunction notification pinged up & stays on ???? Is this due to lowering the car or just coincidence, all the lights still work etc so wondering if anyone has had similar issues

Re: Adaptive light fault after lowering
Sounds like coincidence, I had the same malfunction notification on my B8. Bought a headlight ballist from eBay £30ish. Sits under the headlight 10min fix.

Do you perhaps have any link (partnumber) for this item that works with B 8.5 (RS4) adaptive? (I got the same issue even if i dont have lowered the car)
Thanks in advance!

Not sure if you have sorted this issue but I would think the fault would be related to the level sensors on the nearside

Not had a look yet but was thinking the same as I had to change near side stub axle so had to reattach the link rod between the sensor & lower armB1ncc 1.8t wrote: ↑Sun Nov 01, 2020 8:29 amNot sure if you have sorted this issue but I would think the fault would be related to the level sensors on the nearside

They are bad for seizing up and they are pretty delicate little things. I couldn’t find any live data on VCDS for them.
Both mine were seized and freeing them off didn’t help.
I fitted two new ones all good now.

Item 1 is the part number for the front, and item 8 is for the rear. If you google these part numbers you’ll find various options for parts (genuine and aftermarket).Rugslasher wrote: ↑Sun Nov 01, 2020 11:28 amCheers for info, are they stealer part only ?B1ncc 1.8t wrote: ↑Sun Nov 01, 2020 10:06 amThey are bad for seizing up and they are pretty delicate little things.
