RS4 B7 Gear Knob

Hi,

Does anyone have any advise or experience of refurbishing the metal cap on the top of the gear knob?

Any tips or recommendations would be helpful.

Forgot I had posted this post. Manage to go get this sorted last week. Refurbed the cap myself using Hammerite Smooth silver and the leather by JM Autotrim (listing on eBay).

Hey mate how did the hammerite paint hold up on the gearknob, did you sand it first im guessing?

Hey. Yes I sanded it first and then applied two coats of Hammerite. Held up well whilst I had the RS4. Now sold the RS4 and got a RS3.

Anyone have additional solutions for refurbishing the B7 RS4 shift knob cap?

Hammerite Smooth silver looks like an option, but not completely convinced its the best way.

Would love to hear from other people on this?
