That was fixed in the end - I think anything under 800hp is fine on these blocks, anything more than that I would want it built

The strainer was changed, yes, time will tell whether that resolves it. Pretty sure there were cars with the later strainer that still had an issue.
There were also injector issues and a few gearbox gremlins turning up now.
It’s not a new argument of course, if you map, go in eyes open. If you goose your drive train you’ve got a five figure bill coming. Add to that you’ve reduced the resale value as the map will be detected, approved network wouldn’t have it back. And if you’ve financed you’re in breach of contract - that one is often missed.

Re: What would you change on your stock C8?
Yes spot on - its annoying as the car is defo lacking just slightly as stock, otherwise I would be happy to leave her as is. I should think the Perf will fix that - if they ever release one that is...doodlebug wrote: ↑Mon Oct 12, 2020 7:26 pmThe strainer was changed, yes, time will tell whether that resolves it. Re: What would you change on your stock C8?
Yes, it’s VAG family engine. Panamera, Cayenne, Continental, Urus, Benteyga.
Panamera GTS and all the Turbo variants have the V8, though with PDK not sloshomatic.

Weird for some reason I always thought it was a 4.8!
That Panamera Turbo S does look juicy, 3 secs to 60

Re: What would you change on your stock C8?
The new turbo s panny is a proper missile, some really positive reviews and it looks the biz now. I honestly thought Audi would nail it with the C8 and it’s performance but what a total f**k up. I hold no hopes on the perf.doodlebug wrote:Yes, it’s VAG family engine. Panamera, Cayenne, Continental, Urus, Benteyga.

I have heard mumbles of a 780hp hybrid for the perf. Would that not wet your appetite?rtd wrote: ↑Mon Oct 12, 2020 7:43 pmThe new turbo s panny is a proper missile, some really positive reviews and it looks the biz now. That would stamp on Porsche’s territory. Can’t see it.
Not seen any mules for ages either.

That would be something that can kill everything Bmw, Mercedes and porches, but could be also rumoursdannyuk wrote: ↑Mon Oct 12, 2020 7:49 pmI have heard mumbles of a 780hp hybrid for the perf.
