I'd love a red sport, if I hurry up and pay of my mortgage, maybe I can get one :boohoo:

They are not that great to drive ......
I was very very lucky about 5/6 years ago and did a fifty+ miles in a red one ( owned by Audi I believe)including 10 + miles behind the wheel. I realise not much driving but I found the clutch wicked, the gearbox very heavy and notchy, but once you hit about 4000 rpm .................. gone ....like nothing I have ever driven before . Your chipped S3 is probably very much quicker A to B and more refined.

Wasn't at Sutton's Dunc. I was in fact at Audi UK's top secret hangar where they keep a mothballed example of every quattro model ever made with delivery mileage only on. S2, S2 cabriolet, RS2, RS4, RS6, Sport q, S1, R8C, Biela's A4 BTCC car... the list goes on! Featured in next issue of Total Audi!

BTW Dunc, saw your name on the board at Kim's rolling road! Was there yesterday with Tom :)

Was it on a board in the dyno cell? If so I was there (for that) in Dec 2003! Were you with Tom for a magazine article? I know his car is modified - make good power?

It's still up there on the board! Prawn's list (I think). Tom's car is now officially very scary... I was there to do a feature on Kim for the next Total Audi

 having owned every ur except a Sport and S1, both of which I am actively hunting........ 8) I have to say a fair assessment of power delivery, although I would possibly bet a months wages that I could get a Sport from A to B faster than Dunc's S3 ( no disrespect to Dunc or his car) There is a very defined art to pedaling one of these cars quickly, believe me i know having owned and piloted A2's in anger..... :bigwave:

I've been a passenger in Kims sport around castle coombe and it is quicker than my S3 - lighter by a few 100 kgs with possible 50 bhp more. I was very impressed with the handling and braking too.

Simon - you know it makes sense, I'll be popping round when the sports arrive :) (there is one on mobile.de for 79k euros atm)
