Leaking shocks/DRC

Post by Wattsm666 » Mon Jul 27, 2020 11:07 am

So I have DRC on my Rs6 and the dealer has just told me that a front shock is leaking, having covered 35k miles. I have extended warranty and would assume that this would be covered as they shouldn’t fail so soon in my view.

Has anyone had experience of this?

It's a common problem - mine went at 32kmiles - thread on here somewhere if you do a search. If one is leaking, it's likely the other will go shortly afterwards - mine did

Dealer has now looked at further. It is a light misting, which is not currently enough for a warranty claim, but it will be covered once it gets worse.

I had the exact same problem 4 months ago, 36k miles. My DRC was rattling when in comfort mode. The DRC was well under pressure and there was light misting on the shocks.
It’s recognised by Audi as a factory goodwill replacement. Mine was completely replaced by Audi. Push your dealer to look under the factory goodwill. I’ll try to find the email where the dealer confirmed this.
