Guys, in the interest of transparency:

- Currently I'm pricing my parts out of research that I do on my own. I try to find the cheapest option possible and then I knock 20% off the price and add the shipping costs. - This isn't working out for some of you.

I would like to approach this whole parts selling from another angle:

I'll be posting here the parts available, with pictures. You can then PM me or post in this very thread (I'm open for transparency) if you're interested in a part and how much you're willing to pay for it. The only thing I ask is that you send me a link to where you found your price. Why? because I want to learn and I don't want to be ripped off either and also your link might help us all - that's as bluntly honest as I can put it.
  • If I can get it to you cheaper, I will
  • If I can match the price, I will
  • If it's too low and I end up losing, I'll tell you
For more transparency, here's a full chart with how much it will cost me to ship you items that are up to 30Kg in weight (in your favourite language :P )
You can also consult it yourselves at www.swisspost.ch (available in her majesty's English)

EDIT: Just noticed the yellow square. around priority. That's how the chart is presented on the booklet, I did not add that in. Pirces start left to right, in case of questions, just ask in this thread.

packages of >30Kg will cost more - Unfortunately I'm not in posession of a chart, as soon as I am, I'll post it here.

Another dimension to consider is VAT, which we already openly discussed on this thread - Thanks to Shop.

Lastly I'd like to make a statement. I'm not a business, just another owner - like you - who's felt the pains of going to the dealer and either being shocked at the price of parts, or learning they're no longer making them. My motivation is to help myself and others, keep our beauties on the road as decently and dignified as possible, without having to pay through the nose for it.

That's it guys, hope that clears it all out.

:rocker:

Seems more than fair.

No equivalent of parcelmonkey in Switzerland? I frequently use DPD to send stuff internationally. My favourite transporter. Seems cheaper than Swiss Post.

Daytona RS6 C5 Avant. Viper'd, Billies, Waggers, MTM box brain, C6 stoppers, xcarlink, R8 coolant cap (woohoo)
///M3 E46 | XC90 (V8, natch) | Passat GTE | RR Classic V8 flapper

Thank you Shop. Yeah I'm looking into that possibility. In Switzerland at least for packages under 30kg they're more expensive.

I'll be visiting their offices directly to see if I can arrange some sort of discount per volume, even if I'm not registered as a business.

As ever, thanks for your helpful input Image

I just generated a quote with this place from Geneva to UK:

https://www.expedismart.ch/fr/

For a 25Kg parcel, 120.15 CHF with UPS.

I have no idea if this is a legitimate site.

Correct, that's around 45chf more expensive than it'd cost through the Swiss Post.Image

From my research so far, anything less than 30Kg the Swiss Post seems competitive.... At least for a mere mortal like me Image
