More precisely, servicing and maintaining your car without specialist help ,unless necessary, without jeopardizing value.
I have a friendly firm of forklift engineers/mechanics who turn their hand to anything ,including cars ,tractors and they also ran two racing teams .
One was super stocks and the other was go carts and minis.
They are happy to maintain the RS6 but I wonder how much the lack of Audi or specialist stamps will affect values.
What do you think?

Re: Provenance
I got my own stamp and I stamp my own service books. Stamps, invoices, photographs. It's not FMDSH, but it helps confidence.
The cars I always seem to own take a lot of looking after, and they wouldn't be economically viable if I depended on a dealer for everything.
Since main dealer maintenance is no longer needed for the warranty, I think a good compromise is to get an independent to stamp up the routine services, while the repairs are done elsewhere.
