NAVIGATION ISSUES ?

Post by WRS4 » Fri Apr 17, 2020 6:08 pm

About 2 months ago ive had issues with my sat nav system but unsure what the problem is so I am hoping someone else has had the same issues and can advise.

Basically when it is working I get approx. half way to my destination and then the screen doesn't know where I am ? the voice is still giving directions which im unsure are still correct but the direction on the screen looses where it is and goes off onto different roads. It is an intermittent problem sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't but its more often that its happening now.

Is this the disc itself or the unit ? and can anyone advise where to buy either one please. IF its the unit which I don't really want to replace then has anyone seen the new digital / blue tooth type versions on ebay for £200 ? are these any good ?

im hoping its the disc though but again don't want to waste money on one or the other if someone knows which its more likely to be. Cheers

Above the glove box. It’s the blue cable coming from the back of the RNSE

I had a similar problem to this. I popped a cleaning DVD in and it fixed it. The unit was getting really hot because it was trying to read the data over and over again. Next time it happens put your hand on the screen, if it's super hot then it could be the same thing
