Sticky for pics/vids RS6 C5
Re: Sticky for pics/vids RS6 C5
I think your car would benefit from some subtle changes:
1. Stubby aerial
2. Allroad wipers
3. 8mm Spacers on the front. Not sure about the rear. It looks like the rears fill the arches better, but presumably your wheels are all the same size?
Also, I personally prefer OE rings and badges, but that's just me.

Yeh wanted a stubby aerial, wasn’t sure which car one would fit, someone said one of a Polo should fit, will look into the allroad wipers.
Wheels are all the same size, worried they might rub if I put spacers on.
And I prefer the badges they way they are, the rings are wrapped so they can come off anytime

You need one of these and one of these to round it off. Great car.

Re: Sticky for pics/vids RS6 C5
Maybe I'm missing something. Allroad wipers? I can see that you have the Bosch aero wipers. The wipers my car came with are the same as the allroad ones, with the blade. Did the UK models come with something different or is it just that they have been tossed out?

Re: Sticky for pics/vids RS6 C5
Ah OK. Another bit that I let go when I sold my allroad. Should have kept it for parts. Can't say that I noticed the detail, just that they both had the 'foil on the blade holder. What people are saying then is to change the arms rather than the blade part. Definitely looking in the wrong place.

Re: Sticky for pics/vids RS6 C5
Yeah, the retrofit blades look lumpy and clumsy. The allroad wiper arms are slick and look much more the part. I'll try to find a photo.
The rear wiper benefits from upgrading. Not allroad though. Possibly Sharan? Can't remember. Part numbers in the FAQ.

Re: Sticky for pics/vids RS6 C5
Perfect. Worth a thousand words in this case. Thanks. Definitely got the dog leg wiper arms on mine. Just did a quick look back and my allroad also had the dog leg wiper arms!!!
Allroad and my RS6 Maybe the straight wiper arms were either from the earlier A6 or the later ones, or just something different for different markets.

Yeah, there was a change to the more modern arms from chassis number 4B2 000 001. What was yours?

Re: Sticky for pics/vids RS6 C5
Display my ignorance and say I have no idea of the Chassis number. Never needed to look. The VIN was WAUZZZ 4B2 1 N 165032. A 2001 build car so one of the early versions here.

Re: Sticky for pics/vids RS6 C5
OK, that makes sense. The parts catalogue says 4B-1-102 000 and above for the old style wiper and 4B-2-000 001 and above for the new style.
The dashes must represent irrelevant parts of the VIN, so yours would be 4B-1-165032, so the old style.
VIN = chassis number.
I think the 2 of 4B-2 is model year 2002.

Re: Sticky for pics/vids RS6 C5
Always known the chassis number from pre VIN days but I've been brain washed into VIN now and the first thought was have AUDI secreted away another impossible to find number for the body itself. Suitably re-educated and now to keep my eyes open for a late model allroad in pieces.
