Since I put mine back together, I've actually not taxed it yet. Did a cheeky 5 miles or so to check all is running fine, but been waiting for nicer weather before taking it for a proper run. Roads will be quiet once the weather turns, I guess.

If we're all locked down, I'll have to find yet another project to do...

I've done nearly 11k Miles since my last M.O.T ! Anyone beat that ?
Nope, did 2500 Km over 10 days but that won't be a weekly event. Doing 800 Km in the next three days but I really doubt I'll make the Km equivalent of 11,000 miles in 12 months in the one car. My annual with the B5 RS4 is about 10,000 Km so I have to get finger out and do more to get it up with both cars.

Bright side, does driving around in your car count as isolation???? Was due to be flying out to London on 29th but that has hit the skids big time.

Driving around would class as isolation but I wouldn't trust the RBT unit they put through the window and up to your face. Was the last person tested ok is the question.

Given the forthcoming apocalypse, I find that the RS6 has excellent Mad Max potential.

Its value in Guzzolene is shooting up at the moment.
Daytona RS6 C5 Avant. Viper'd, Billies, Waggers, MTM box brain, C6 stoppers, xcarlink, R8 coolant cap (woohoo)
///M3 E46 | XC90 (V8, natch) | Passat GTE | RR Classic V8 flapper

So in conclusion I'm the only one that actually drives these cars ?

Does this entitle me to your parts when mine break ? :D

Well Im not as optimistic regarding prices as some of you. I put mine up for sale late last summer, if anything underpriced compared to others. I think it was £8950 , done 115k good condition , coilovers etc. Had 2 calls over a 3 month period . Only one was serious and then seemed like he didn't have the cash in the end. I just pulled the ads and decided to keep it .

Far from it, my RS6 is my DD. It'll get 10K up every year but I have to drive my RS4 too, so total annual KM maybe 25K but divided between cars.

Didn't think that it's reputation had spread so far. Frightening to think I grew up in that era. My Mother still has one of those cars which is now shed bound.

I've still not driven the damn thing. I should have left the cam belt another year.

Paid 12.5 k for mine 8 years ago. Would want the same if I sold. Spent quite a bit in the last 2 years on her.
Saw a 2010 v10 plus for sale recently at £24995 and I was interested.
They offered me 6.5 k part x and I told them to forget it.
For comparison I contacted we buy any car.
They offered £5.5 k
Hence the reason I decided to keep mine.
If you are looking for 10k for yours with 75k miles and in very good condition.
I think that is a steal for someone.
Was it at FS Performance out of interest? Could be the car I traded my b7 rs4 in for, mugello blue saloon? I was originally looking at C5's but couldn't find the car for me, I grew up watching Layer Cake and always wanted a silver c5 avant but it wasn't to be. Still I'm very happy with the C6, maybe a C5 or B5 RS on the cards in the future, I love my B5 S4, the design language of this era is spot on.

Yes that’s the one. About to be it and then the wife got involved.
Hope you have many miles of happy motoring.
Enjoy. I am a bit envious. But pleased a fellow member bought it.

Thanks Steve - very kind of you to say. The fact it is the same colour as my B7, it felt like it was meant to be. Sorry to hear yours was so undervalued, I suppose where the demand is slightly more niche for a C5, some dealers might shy away from paying the right money. Good luck with whatever you end up doing, a C5 is hard to replace I'm sure!

Kwheeler. Thanks. Keeping my c5 and spending a bit more on her when we get back to normal.
Love this car but would have traded in for the one you have just bought. It looked stunning with a fantastic spec.
Nice one buddy.
