The lord giveth....................

Post by shineydave » Fri Jan 06, 2006 6:02 pm

Oh how true that advert on TV is, the one that says wherever there's a bit of pleasure in the world there's also an opposit amount of pain. unfortunately i've been the recipient of both.

last thing today i was summonsed to our production controllers office to be given a nice fat pay rise in recognition of some of the successful projects i'd managed this last year. came out of work full of the joys of spring and gave the S4 a bit of a bootfull up the ring road. next thing i hear a banging from the nearside rear, pull over to find i'd run over a plank from a pallet, result, one ruined tyre, hole through the wheelarch liner, all the paint off the wheelarch and the sill trim damaged. oh bugger, bye bye payrise.

well so far i'm into 15 beer tokens for the trim and clip, half a day touching up the chip in the N/S passenger door and 400 quid for 4 Avons, hopefully the paint on the back bumper and wheelarch won't be too bad as i have a friend in the trade. oh damn, forgot about the whelarch liner that's got a hole the size of Kansas in it. Richard...........about that pay rise............

back bumper, wheelarch and rear quarterpanel painting comes to 150 quid but to be fair that includes a bit for him painting the wifes Passat bumper the week before xmas so i can't complain.
