DRC questions

Post by ron826 » Tue Oct 08, 2019 8:33 am

I am looking to buy a used RS6 soon and wanted DRC but a few adverts say DRC and air suspension. How can I tell what is fitted when I go to look at them? Also does DRC have an auto mode? TIA

Air suspension gives more soft driving and car feels like a boat on corners, DRC drives more stable and solid on corners and car feels like a cart in dynamic mode

Well for sure If you buy car with air it will be more boaty than car with drc, but rs6 is not about racing on Nurburgring or going to a track, rs6 more for going straight in Autobahn)

What do you mean saying does drc has auto mode?

DRC has an auto mode and works well in this in my experience. Dynamic too hard for most roads. Comfort too soft.
I much prefer DRC over air sprung cars. But others think the opposite.

Hi Ron, I agree with Markp, I drive in Auto most of the time and its a good balance. But it is good to put in Dynamic when you want some sprinted fast road harsh fun!!

You need to test drive both, as like you say some prefer air some DRC. I test drove two with Air, two with DRC and then only considered cars with DRC.

Cheers,
Lig.

If you wanna “drive it” and possibly drop it on KW Height Adjustable Suspension buy a car with DRC, if you wanna Roll around like a big piece of lifeless turd buy one on air..

The difference in my car as others before with DRC and KW HAS with Michys on to a car on air is like night and day...

But choose which car feels right for you not what you read on here Image
