2nd puncture in a week! Replacement tyres soon!

Post by Joegib1983 » Mon Sep 09, 2019 3:01 pm

Having a nightmare at the moment with the car picking up nails!! 2nd puncture in a week. So that’s both front tyres with a repair in them now.

The Pirelli tyres on the car at the minute will be getting replaced soon.

What’s everyone’s preference on 285/30/21 tyres? I’ve read that the mitchelin PS4s seem to be getting the best reviews? Also considering the Goodyear eagle F1 super sports as I’ve used these on previous cars.

Cheers

PS4S seem to be the favourite. I have them on my Alfa and love them. I have a puncture in one of them myself now. Although the puncture itself is repairable there is damage on the inside edge from driving around with low pressure so has to be replaced.
But it sounds like you need to get yourself some tyre insurance.

PS4S is the best - and available now in 285/30 R21.

I ran the GY Eagle F1 Assym 2's on my old C5 beast and was very happy - until I put the PS4S on, and realised what an improvement they were.

Cheers guys. Think I’ll try the PS4S shortly.
