Ceramic coating

Post by Joegib1983 » Thu Aug 15, 2019 9:17 am

Handed the car over to Reflection Car Care to carry out a 2 stage paint correction and ceramic coating. Massively transformed the appearance of the car!! Pictures don’t do it justice. I have a video but it won’t let me attach it.
Loving the paint flake pop of the panther black!

That looks absolutely awesome Joe!

I don't usually like black RS6s, but yours is the best 'classic' combo with the silver trim and wheels!

You are right, the paint fleck looks ace, kind of a nice deep purple.....

A job very well done.... now don't go getting it dirty!

Cheers Lig,

I need to see if I can save the brushes aluminium trim around the windows and the roof rails as the previous owner must have used TRF on the car and the chemicals have stained the trim. May have to get them wrapped black

I went for the OptiCoat Pro. Comes with 5 year protection guarantee and will prevent swirl marks to some extent also. OptiCoat is different to most coatings as it’s a silicone carbide coating (SiC) rather than a silicon dioxide coating (SiO2). It’s harder wearing and has proven durability and robustness. I had the alloys and callipers coated also, so hopefully help with the brake dust and help with future cleaning 👍

That would be a shame Joe but it will still look good with just the window trim black!

Cheers,
Lig.

I too recently had my Panther black RS7 PE custom machine polished & ceramic coated with Britemax Igneous. Tee glass was coated with Gtechniq G1, the wheels were deep cleaned & coated with cardon collective Platinum wheels.

My detailer mad the following video of the finished RS 7 - https://www.instagram.com/p/Bxo07ogHa8Q ... c6x0n4ec7k
