Servicing
Servicing
Mine's currently on long life servicing but i'm going to switch it to annual/mileage ( it'll be annual as only do 7-8k a year).
Is there anywhere on line that shows a complete service schedule? Before I picked up the car last year it had an oil service and also the final drive etc oil changed, pollen filter, brake fluid, zircon. But doesn't look as if the Air Filter of Plugs have been changed for nearly 2 years/17k now. I can't see that the fuel filter has ever been changed, assuming it has one!
The online booking shows interim as Oil change only @ £350, Major £775 - Oil, Air Filter & Plugs. £425 extra for plugs and air filter seems excessive!
Cheers

Re: Servicing
£425 for plugs and air filter sounds OK to me. Think I was quoted a little more than that for plugs alone. Bear in mind the plugs alone cost about £240 to buy and they take a bit of time to change then £425 doesn't sound too bad (considering how much Audi charge for labour per hour).

Although Stafford Audi sell a service kit;
Oil filter, Air Filter, Cabin Filter, Spark Plugs x8, 10L Quantum 5W30 Oil
All for £260 delivered. Suspect if you dropped the oil then about £200.

Re: Servicing
Having checked, £215 for 8x plugs, air filter, oil filter and pollen filter.
Having looked around Air filter is circa £30 at its cheapest (official Audi) pollen about the same, oil filter about £20 making the plugs £135, bargain! All from official Audi dealer.

Re: Servicing
I've been quoted by my local Audi dealer £530 for an inspection + oil change, no filters or spark plugs (they are due at 40k?). This seems excessive for a basic 2 hour oil change?
A local Audi specialist (Quattrotech) will charge £260 for the same + pollen filter which they suggest is due. I have a lot of personal recommendations for Quattrotech, they have ex-Audi master technicians working for them and can update electronic service record etc. They use Fuchs 5w30 oil and all genuine parts.
First non-warranty service (March 2016 registered RS6).
What would you guys do? Stick to Audi or go independent specialist?

Re: Servicing
Interesting that going direct through Audi web site it suggests a minor service is from £350 for the RS6. Unsure what the local dealer is doing to the car to justify the extra £180 on top of this for a total of 2 hours labour (plus wash which I'll not have anyway). They said they are just doing an oil change.Nick_T wrote: ↑Tue Jul 16, 2019 2:22 pmI've been quoted by my local Audi dealer £530 for an inspection + oil change, no filters or spark plugs (they are due at 40k?). I think I'll go independent specialist, no complaints so far from Audi when they've had the car, just unsure what the second hand market value is like if it isn't official Audi service history?
Re: Servicing
Sorry for diging up an old thread, however im due a service on my 2015FL @ 48k which I believe is a 'major'. The Audi site is quoting £399 for this which doesnt seem that bad. Is this inline with others experience?
Re: Servicing
Got an 120.000km service at Audi dealer, oil change, air conditioning cleaning, oil filter change, spark plugs change, rear differential oil change in total 1500 eur. Car is 2014 year April, no warranty
Re: Servicing
That sounds too cheap to me. My first/last major service (at 38K miles) was about £750 (oil, plugs, filters, diff oils, etc.). An oil service / minor service is £350.

Re: Servicing
It seems as though the Audi website was wrong, as its now coming up at £775.00 for a major service at both Leicester (Sytner) and Coventry (Listers).
Re: Servicing
I collected the service kit from Stafford audi, they didnt have the air filter in stock but posted it free of charge 2 days later, plugs took around 1 and a half hours and oil and filters about an hour. Full major service for £260, bargain! Kept all invoices and I'm not bothered about audi service record. I know it's been done properly and not by main dealers who I've had numerous problems with before.
Re: Servicing
I think prices have reduced. Maybe to do with the new C8 being released??? I was quoted £2615 for front and rear pads and discs (fitted). Looking at the below image its now £2324... bargain..!!
I have taken a screen shot of this for when mine needs doing in April
Maybe it will be cheaper again then
