Actually you can increase the speed without the dynamic pack plus as I have it with air suspension, the limit is "only" increased to 174mph though.

Yes, sorry I meant the 189mph upgrade as mentioned earlier.

Previously having an c5 Rs6 with DRC and now have a c7 RS6 with DRC it’s a different kettle of fish. I test drove some with the air but the one I have has the dynamic pack which was what I found suited my needs.

I think it's academic as mine goes somewhat further past the 155 mark it's supposed to be limited too. :bigblink: even given speedo inaccuracies :biggrin2: -

Doug at MRC, was telling one of the forum members on here that the speed of the car is limited by it's tyres, otherwise it would be a little bit North of 200mph

Hi Fraser RS4....

I have recently got into a C7 RS6 and for me there was a definite difference between Air and DRC. I drove 2 with DRC and 2 with Air and I deffo preferred the DRC. For me the air was just too soft. I am surprised that someone else has said they cannot tell the difference, but my car is a nonPE and maybe the PE air is different to the non PE air (but I doubt it)??!!

You really need to drive both to see which you prefer. Like someone mentioned, Dynamic mode is a bit much, but Auto I find perfect! You can then just tap the lever to put it into S for a bit of noise..

I was so close to buying a Misano and I think it suits the car really well and for me is a 'classic' Audi colour BUT..... I spoke to the previous owner (who sold it to the dealer, where I was looking at it) and he told me that he just couldn't shift it, because of the colour. I was lucky that the car I bought came in during mid negotiations with the misano one as I am over the moon with my Riviera. I also visited my local Audi dealer to get some history and mentioned the Misano one and they too told me, for some reason Misano cars are harder to shift..... I really dont know why as they look great.... I think these cars look much better with the black pack, especially the lighter colored cars especially the Misano... but appart from that, it looks a good spec.

I pondered over a car with Ceramics, good I think if you are going to cover big miles, but as I wasn't then a bit of a waste of money... then its just the 'cool look' factor.

IF you are not going to do big miles then for me I would go for black pack \ carbon exterior looks over Ceramics... when I was looking there were plenty to choose from and always seem to be a good turnover on the market.....

I too had a B7 RS4 but never really liked it TBH. I found the seats uncomfortable and for me it was just too small. Very hard to compare the two, very different cars...

I hope this is of some help....

Do keep us posted!

Cheers,
Lig.

I had a B7 for 6 or so years and was a big fan of the DRC, so much so I spent 4k at Audi Ipswich for a full refresh just before I sold it last year!

I can't comment on the air, but I'm now in a C7 with the DRC, and it has been lowered 25mm. In Dynamic, it is extremely firm, teeth rattlingly so and only really viable on my own. That aside, in Comfort setting, I've absolutely no complaints, neither does wifey or littlelun'. I haven't noticed any wallowing at all, and it can be really pressed, and feels sharp for a big old bus; you can really hustle it when you want to.

As an aside, by comparison, my old RS4 was a go kart and I absolutely miss having a manual gearbox, to the extent I'm tempted to get an RS4 saloon (or something equally daft/manual) to stick away for weekend fun.

DRC, I've also since discovered much to my annoyance, can't take a tow bar... So trailering bikes/track cars (as I had in mind) is a non-starter.

I may be wrong but I'm thinking OP is referring to bikes with engines....
