Hi all
My B7 saloon has had the DRC removed as is now running Koni conventional shocks and standard springs , rides/drives really well however it’s a good amount higher at the front than the rear ...
My rear arches are just about sitting level with the top of my tyre which I think is to low and the front has around 1 1/2 inches between the tyre and arch. I understand I’m probably better off measuring it elsewhere as the fronts may have more of a cutout to allow for steering etc but the back seems to low.
Is anyone else running this setup ? How does yours sit ? I’ve checked for broken springs and I’ve checked they are the correct springs for the car
Thanks
B7 ride height question
Re: B7 ride height question
Did the car have SS or SS+ suspension before you changed the dampers?
B7 is well known for having reverse rake, it is more noticeable if you have SS+, as the rear sits nicely with the front a bit higher.
Spring seats at the rear can perish which will make it sit lower at the back again.
The original springs should have colour codes on them, should be able to work out axle weights from that.
Also, these cars are between 12-13 years old now, even though the springs might not be broken, they might be past their best and now be sagging.
