40,000 Mile Service - 4 Years

Post by kerniez » Thu Jun 20, 2019 4:25 pm

Hi All

My RS6 is now 4 years old and I understand that the Service Required includes:

Engine Oil Change
Air Filter
Pollen Filter
Gear Box Oil Change
and New Spark Plugs

I have just had a quote from my local stealer that I purchased the car from of £838 including VAT and Oil. When I explained that I had always used Castrol Oil in the engine and supplied the oil myself I was informed that this was not possible any more.

Has anyone else had the same problem?

Thanks

Gearbox oil?? Audi schedule says life fill - not that this means it is :)

As for own oil, I have never done that so can't help.

It’s final drive oil I think (whatever that means) not the gearbox. See the other thread - I was quoted £1100 so that’s loads cheaper. Which dealer is it?

Correct it is Front and Rear final drive oil but this is now extra!

Total Cost £775 + £109.31 (Final Drive Oil), seemingly the £775 is a fixed Audi cost for cars over 3 years old? Oh and if I want a pollen filter £63.96.

Now found a dealer that will provide Castrol Edge oil aswell, so happy days

40k service, did you get your turbo oil screen checked?? Huge bill if it blocks. 40k miles seems to be that time.
