Wheel refurb/Alternative wheels

Post by ab54666 » Mon Jun 17, 2019 10:59 am

I have the 21 inch black/diamond cut wheels that could do with a refurb.

I’ve never had much success with diamond cut where they are a year or so start to break down, has anyone had them simply painted all over, either black or silver?

Or is there a decent aftermarket set if 21’s with the same offset?

If you are talking about the performance wheels I have a few mates that have painted them all black and look great depending on the colour of the car.

I would powder coat the whole wheel. Like you, never had a diamond cut refurb that has lasted more than a year.

You don't have the Performance wheels, you have the normal 21" option.

These were my original wheels before I sold them. I thought they looked really good after losing the diamond cut finish and would have happily kept them had I not bought the PE wheels in the meantime.

I’m sold on full black, think I’ll also get the silver trim wrapped black and maybe black badges.

Wrapping the trim black will look good.

I’m in two minds about black Audi RS6 designations, I do think they look better but I like to keep everything 100% OEM.

(Except for losing the diamond cut finish on the wheels! ;0) )
