Standard brakes cost

Post by brab » Sun May 19, 2019 7:16 pm

I have been quoted by the official Audi dealer in Croatia €4,400 or ~£3,700 GBP for the complete replacement of front/back discs and brakes.
Non-ceramic, standard.

I think the price is absolutely bonkers.

Can you guys share how much did you pay for the standard Audi replacements (not upgrades)?

I replaced my pads from Eurocarparts when they had. 50% off offer, was around £220 for front and rear sets. Haven’t changed disks. From memory on their site disks were around £1,400 and £1,200 for front and rear sets.

Seems Eurocarparts have 50% off disks and pads right now with code MID60. That should get you down to £1,600 ish for the full set.

So here you are talking about an official Audi dealer and the price you get at the counter, right?

I was quoted £1750 by Audi for the parts only. As I had nothing but trouble with the Audi brakes I decided to go for AP discs with Ferodo Pads and BG Developments bell housings. All from BG developments as they have provided kits for quite a few RS cars.

Just all fitted last week, bedding in so will see how I get on.

From Audi also on eBay as Markp or at the dealer?

How much did the BG Developments package cost?
I would never have the heart to change the red RS calipers though! :)

That happens when you save on brakes, Better from begging purchasing car with dynamic plus package that includes ceramic and you are good to go for a life time
