actually that's not true about skylines being everywhere.

i remember an episode of the Jay Leno show and Ben Affleck was on there and they were talking about Jay's car collection and Ben wanted to get a new car and Jay mentioned a ferrari. Ben said soething to the tune of "Oh but everyone has one of those".

Jay replied back "NO, not everyone has a ferrari" and he's right, not everyone does. it's a special car and it should be given its due respect.

so im just saying that the myth of high performance cars in japan are not everywhere.

on RS4 sales and tax in Japan, Denso Iridium IK24, and some

The nogaro RS4 in the link below is for sale at 598.5man yen. It means 5985 thousand yen, equivalent for eur 42K now.
http://www.carsensorlab.net/usedcar/d.p ... N019010325

It was imported personally, first registered in 2001.3, mileage at 0.9man km, 9K km, and has HDD nav.
The brake disk and calipers look clean.

The dealer is an authorized dealer of Mercedes, Ferrari, Porsche, and GM cars in Osaka, Japan.
The first owner was not a smoker. He must be a busy man and has many cars, and the low mileage.
Such person tends to have complete garage, and the condition must be mint.
I believe it relatively low priced for the condition.

Audi Japan once announced that they imported 50 RS4s into Japan. They sold RS4 at 960man yen, equivalent for eur 67.6K.
You need zero percent tax to import a car into Japan, though same registration tax is needed as cars made in Japan.
You may see many imported cars in Tokyo, and there exist many personally imported RS4s in the market.

I can read the number on the package of DENSO iridium power IK24 in my RS4 as V9110-5311.

The Skyline GT-R is a special version of Nissan Skyline. not standard and not everywhere in Japan.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nissan_Skyline_GT-R

There exist 574 GT-Rs for sale in Japan. The price range is 50-1010man yen for R32, 130-400man yen for R33, and 350-900man yen for R34.

Some tuned it more than 1000hp. NISMO is the authorized tuner of Nissan.
http://www.nismo.co.jp/

This is the 1st generation GT-R made in 1972.

This is the 2nd generation GT-R made in 1973. It has non-charged 2L 6 cylinder engine with FR rayout.
Only 197 cars were made then, and very expensive now.
