The things you find.....

I don't think this looks quite right:

there's a lot of tension on the cable and it's tie-wraped to the ally pipe it passes under.

Looks like I've picked just the right time to do this work:

The pipe you've circled is laid out the same way as mine except there is a pipe running along the front of it, which it looks like you may have already disconnected.

The pipe you've disconnected pinches the circled cable towards the block on mine. But it has the same cable tie at the bottom.

I had a second hand tensioner you could have had, sods law it didnt sell on fleabay for 8 weeks so its been binned now though;
the belt is a 5 peak 945mm if (god forbid) you dont want to pay VAG prices

07L 903 133 G Tensioner Pulley (T60 Torx bit required) 187.68
07L 903 389 B Idling pulley 86.33

When you say tensioner is siezed do you mean the hydraulic ram or the pulley wheel, if you mean the ram you sure its siezed, it was bloody stiff even the new one when I did mine?

(I found that cable was tied back in pretty much a similar manner mine)

The ram. Even with a 18" breaker bar I can hardly move it. It'll be months now before the car is usable again so I might see what some lubrication does.

For what its worth, I replaced that tensioner a couple of years ago, was on some stupid back order from Audi however managed to cross reference the part number with the lambo engine, turned out to be the same part number so called the parts department at Leicester Lambo and they had some sat on the factory shelf in Italy, was around £65 + VAT at the time but within 24 hours the tensioner had arrived at Leicester ready for collection.

I know not all parts cross over to Lambos but their parts supply, certainly in this case, was far superior to Audi's
