Strange heater

My vents on the car are acting strange
i have everything on auto and air con on but the passenger side blows out hot air this is sometimes sorted if i switch it off and on
anyone had this is it a issue or how the system works

If you turn both settings to low does it still blow warm?

Yes both are synced to the same temperature
Not tried it on low
But surely the passenger vent show blow the same temp as the driver

Try them on low. That will tell you if your compressor is playing up.

System might be more complicated than hot or cold out of the relevant vent. They might mix depending on air flow around the cabin.
