R8 V10 Wheels 21"

Post by Anth » Fri Jan 25, 2019 9:17 pm

I was thinking of changing to the 21" R8 V10 wheel just for a change up to the year. Can anyone recomend if OEM or Aftermarket would be preferable, I don't want dreaded buckle issues after the change out. :audibash:

I didn't think R8 wheels came in a 21" version.

No idea, but my thoughts....
At least 50kg extra - 8 stone - a corner on the 6. That is a lot of mass at speed when you hit a pothole. The 6's 21 inch wheels are designed for the job and can't cope. The 8's are not, and probably won't.

To be fair, they probably won't be any worse than the 6s OEM wheels.

I think your right Mike 20" is the Gen 2 size I have found some Gen 1 21" but rear only . So would have to be aftermarket 21s I have some performance wheels in the garage I may just paint these a satin black and see how they look . I was going to get a SQ5 for the Mrs and put them on but she's gone for a new VW.

I'll have a look see what I come up with, I do fancy the R8 design wheel in black .

I thought there was a thread not too long ago where someone asked the same question. They are nice wheels but think you'd have to go aftermarket for a 21" version.

The performance wheels in black look awesome. Had at least 3 people I know paint them black and they all looked really great.
