Sources for RS2 parts

Post by r13ras » Tue Dec 13, 2005 1:32 pm

Ok fellow RS2 people, it's time for me to address those little (and not so little) issues which are beginning to niggle my otherwise solid (of three years) RS2 ownership...

Typically I use VagParts for most things but wondered whether you, my fellow RS2 friends would know of better (ie cheaper for OE) sources.

This is what I need, all for a late 94 RHD RS2:

RHD steering rack
front drive shafts
all bushes for front suspension
rear brake callipers

Willing to consider good s/h parts if you have some (not bushes)

Thanks in advance

Hi mate,

assuming that those parts are going to add up to a tidy sum, you could always try the Audi main dealer on Archer Rd in Sheffield. (sorry, can't remember their name  ) The parts guy is called Rob Clarke, he gives me a 15 per cent discount when I spend 500 quid or more. Sorry for the lack of detail, but Im in Baghdad and have to travel light!!

Give him a try, you never know.

Roy.

Parts

Thanks for the replies

So far have sourced a new (recon) rack from Audi @ 530 GBP + VAT
Rear callipers are 380 GBP + VAT from VagParts but have now discovered the FNS calipper is seizing (my luck!) so may be tiome to consider big red.

Anyone any views on big red parts? I know VagParts do a kit and that one can buy new 993Brembos on the german ebay site for approx 699 EUR. Any views on discs plus fitting kits required to put 993 callipers on the RS2.

Thanks again and have a great Xmas all.
