CAT replacement suggestions.
CAT replacement suggestions.
My flexi pipes have blown on my catalytic converters and not sure whether to repair them or replace with sports cats or de cats. Anyone have experience of getting them repaired or replaced ?
Re: CAT replacement suggestions.
Yeah. Do a search, a few of us have replaced the flexis. Just make sure that the inner diameter of the flexi isn't a restriction - some of the "right" size ones are a bit small. In my case, I bought an oversize flexi that had the same flexi bore as OEM and sleeved it down to fit the pipes - but I think some people have found the right size flex & pipes in one go.

I read somewhere the cats are stainless steel this correct? Just don’t have the equipment to weld ss
Re: CAT replacement suggestions.
Couldn't you get a specialist exhaust place to replace the flexis for you?

If you have a mig, then a bit of argon and stainless wire and you'll be OK.
