A6 courtesy

Post by johnny11 » Sun Nov 18, 2018 10:41 am

Mine is in having a few things done at the dealers and they have given me the new a6 for a week. Let’s just say not impressed. It’s not like the new A7 where it’s all virtual MMI and virtual dashboard. Yes the new a6 has got the new virtual MMI twin touch screen, but the dashboard is virtually the same as it is in the C7. Not sure if the car they given me is a Friday afternoon build but the front doors have to be slammed to shut as well.

I hear you, and my sincere sympathies...... l personally am struggling with that exterior, that design is not for me, l am afraid. And those fake exhausts? Did you take any images? :audibash:

Get mine back Monday so will get a few pics of this before it goes.
The exhaust bit I believe is just copying Mercedes.

The C7 RS6 has fake exhausts too. Nothing new there.

No, MikeFish, I'm referring to the 'imitation' exhausts on the rear bumper of the new A6. I get what you by RS6 fake exhaust, though.

On the new A6 they are purely decorative and not even the exit route for the exhaust:

So does the new Q5:

These are proper fake exhaust tips :audibash:

Right on, GlynRS2. That's a disgrace. Not every car buyer is after 'imitation' elements to car design such as this. I can understand if this is on an electric car, makes much sense then.

This is the one i got at present, really not mpressed, even the pre sense isn’t working properly, yesterday was driving down my road no car in front and plenty of space to parked cars to the left and this thing just braked hard showing pre sense in red on the dash, and no danger any where on the road!

It's like a visual ADS System . Problem is they look like big exhausts, and ADS plays a V8 sound though the speaker on acceleration. When you put your foot down nothing happens. Stupid .

Those 'fakexhausts' .... How do you find the interior? The technology? With that exterior it should feel like a 'cave palace'.... :biggrin3:
