Apparently the inlet pipe ( the long black one alongside the head) can be polished ( if metal - replaced if plastic) and this helps to refect some of the heat coming up off the exhaust manifold leading to slightly lower intake air temperatures.
Nice car, personally would prefer the blue alcantara seats but hey.....

Thank you for cheering up my lunchbreak with photos of your gorgeous car. We're going to have to get the local RS2s together - at least three blue ones that I know of.

In an ideal world I would have had the alcantara too. There was nothing else around at the time though, and the condition/ history of the car was good enough to forgo the alcantara option. I actually quite like the leather, but it really could have done with a heated seat option

Mind you, if anyone fancies leather instead of their alcantara ........

No - you can't have mine! I think your car looks stunning anyway!

Funnily enough, I wanted leather initially but fell in love with my car - lairy blue seats and all!

only thing"wrong" with my S3, just about everything except heated seats....... :o on cold mornings , even in the garage.

Was looking at RS2 (and S2 Avant) early this year as I fancied one - estate would be useful - could afford to buy and run, but had to put life on hold for a while.
Martyn at VAGParts was very helpful though, he has an S2

not seen your UR yet Duncan

There are a few things that I would have - in an ideal world - on the RS that my S4 had, and other S models have; the heated seats, xenon lights, the front center armrest, and the romte locking/all in one key.

Oh and climate control would not have gone amiss too. never understand why they had air conas standard in RHD and climate in the LHD's :?
