I am newly registered to the forum but have been using the site and this post over the past few weeks to get the inside track on lead times and sneak previews before my RS4 arrives - so thanks it has been really helpful...but also agonising at the same time seeing others taking delivery whilst mine has sat in Emden for 2 weeks

Dans, out of interest how did you find out that yours was being delivered tomorrow and how long did it sit in the UK port? Mine arrived at Grimsby yesterday and I am desperate for it to get to the dealer in time for me to pick up at the weekend.

Mine has been sitting at the uk port for over a week, and it took the dealer to phone the transport company to check when it will be collected! Thursday is what I’ve been told, but let’s see!!!

I would be patient though, as I’m not sure there’s a lot the dealers can do, and they all seem to arrive at every point at different times, doesn’t appear to be any consistency! Both mine and Graeme’s cars were built in the same week, mine shipped from emden a week before, but his has arrived a day earlier!! Who knows why...!!

Thanks, and yes I need to be more patient...after all the dealer did me a favour by switching my order in to replace their showroom order. I'll stop short of offering to go and pick it up from Grimsby myself...

Although it would be great to see "Order Status 40" switch to "Order Status 60" when I check in the morning.

I wouldn’t hold your breath on any status changes; mines still on status 40 !!!

Hi Graeme congrats on the car out of interest who did you ensure with?

Through Admiral. My current insurer wanted a circa 50% increase, so I did a compare the market test, and got Admiral for virtually the same as my current provider.
I'll cancel my existing policy on Friday and carry the NCB over

Did they insist on an immobiliser?

Only the factory fitted one, and didn’t ask any questions about options, just total value

The tracker is rubbish, mine was still on 40 when the car was at the dealer. The day I went to pick it up it changed to call your dealer to arrange delivery. It will soon be here I have had mine a week already!
