Has this now been sorted? And is it available for cars that have been out of warranty? I'm considering buying one, and I've had some bumf through from warranty direct. circa £700 that claims to cover wear and tear. On paper this seems the one to go for, but obviously being weary of any third party policy, I'm not so sure. Anyone have any definitive knowledge or advice? Thanks.

Hi all
Had a quote for a years warranty on the RS4 from Warrantywise for premium cover including turbo's,ecu,abs,air-con but not covering main dealer labour rate, mot failure, wear&tear or tyres for £ 316.75 for 12 months on an 01 jan 2002 "S4" quattro up to 3200cc engine ( this is the correct price for an RS4 too as i querried it with an e mail and they say thier system recognizes it as an S4).
They also quoted £567.50 for 24 months and £836.25 for 36 months, hope this helps you guys out.
Cheers "Bingo"

Thanks for that, good price.. I don't understand the wear and tear issue with these companies. Surely if anything goes bang they are going to say it's wear and tear! Hence looking at one that covers it. Thats twicw the price though... :?

I have had my wee beastie for 2 1/2 yrs now and have renewed the warranty with Audi for the last 2 yrs. 3-4 yrs cost about £ 700 and the last one for yrs 4-5 cost £ 1100. Expensive I know but I have had reason to use it ... twice !! Last time the turbos blew and the whole job was done with no questions asked - about 7K - gulp !

However I would be interested on any feedback on `alternative' warranties .... Mine is next due in June and I cant honestly find any other car to replace the RS4. New one ? --- not really. There is only ONE original ! New DB9 looks rather sweet, but at 120K --- urrmm. M6 has too many computers ! and the 911 ? --- well its a porsche ! - common !

I do about 25 - 30K a year in the RS4 and it would seem prudent to maintain warranty cover methinks. And it must help with the resale value ?

Any good ar bad stories on any other warranties ?

Thx

I have now received quotes as follows:

Warranty Wise: £436 up to 3 claims per year with a max claim value of 5k inc abs, turbos, ecu etc excludes fair wear and tear, not main dealer rates.

Warranty Direct: £760 no limit on claims, max claim value of 5k but includes fair wear and tear and main dealer labour.

Audi: £1,138 all the normal audi stuff

My car has done 81k, its a hard call, any comments greatly a
preciated?

I have the same problem and as I have not claimed this year it makes it more difficult to know if there is any point in trying to save a few quid when the car could cost so much if it went wrong.

Does anyone have the other ones?

Robert.
