At last after what has been nine weeks since the build week the car will be at the dealer on Tuesday!
That's great news, I bet you're well excited ?
I'm normally not that bothered when I'm getting a new car, but as I've had my current B8 for 3 1/2 years which is the longest I've ever owned a car in my life, I'm really looking forward to the new one arriving.
Plus, the reviews I've read and watched on YouTube so far are all super positive too, and I really enjoyed the one I had to borrow for a few days recently

Won't get the car until Thursday. Interesting about extra security as I had a conversation with NFU on insurance and excess amounts. I was given two amounts £250 for damage to the car and £1600 for theft.
Did they (NFU) ask you about which options you have?

No they didn't just asked market value. Then they were meant to send me an email with all the details but never did.

It's strange as I am no longer that excited due to constant delays and battles with CS who have been on the edge of argumentative as well as changing the goal posts on a regular basis I was even told two days ago it will be another two weeks despite the car being at the port on the 20th.

It got to the point in the last few days that I was going to pull out I even went into BM and looked at an M4 competition as well as at the Mercedes C63 AMG, but watching the reviews again this morning and with a little advice about not being pig headed calmed down a bit.

Originally I was going to trade in my car but sold to an independent dealer in the end as no one at Audi offered a solution to road tax, warranty, insurance running out, not even lending me a car for a few days so took the extra cash and now have the hassle of no car for a week.

It was pointed out to me that maybe they had hit their targets for March due to 18 plates and that it might turn up early April and voila!

It's a real shame as I have been very loyal to the brand even when cars I have bought have had serious issues including replacing gearboxes within a month of ownerships and another that broke down four times in the first year of ownership.

Rant over going to look forward to it now as I am very lucky to get myself in one!

Well, when I started this thread my car was ordered for Sept delivery but told today that a mistake at the dealer means the order went in there and then. Car arrives in 3 weeks. Given the option to buy this one or wait for another on Sept 1st. Decided to come out of my RS6 early with uplift on part ex.

Basically, yes :)

Added 5 year warranty to order as cheap at £900. Don't like any of the 20 wheels so went with the standard 19s but just discovered that the spare set of dished 20s off my RS6 fit really well. They sit 11mm wider filling the arches perfectly and look really good - to my eye anyway. Just need to buy new 275 / 30 tyres now as the 6 ones are 35 profile.

That sounds ideal. Have you got any pics of a B9 with the C7 Wheels ?

Not yet. And to be precise they sit 8-9mm further out than 265s on 19s and 2-3mm closer to the strut on the other side.

That's a good amount. I'll look up some spacers once I've got my car and measured the tyre to arch gap

A real naive comment but do spacers effect warranty.

I don't know to be honest, but they're easy enough to remove before taking it into the dealer just in case.
The only thing I could possibly think they could level against having spacers fitted is an increase in stress on the suspension components due to extra leverage, but it'd be a push for them to really justify it.
I had a quick measure of the amount of spacing you'd need to make the wheels sit out comparably the b8, and I think you'd only need 5-6mm of spacer
