Econ mode light won’t go out ?

Have noticed this weekend that when I push the econ mode button or try to change settings for air con nothing happens ? Is this a sign it needs regassing ? Or could it be something more sinister ?

Unfortunately it's just a sign to "investigate the A/C system further" rather than a specific warning about a particular piece of the A/C system, of which there is a quite a bit. However, most places that do A/C now-a-days use a similar machine which drains the A/C, checks for leaks and re-fills etc so any issues with a leak would show up there.
