I just had my E36 M3 re-sprayed at PL Carbodies (BMW Main body Shop) in Warwick £5.5k all in with £1k of parts. This was a complete strip down, windows out, completely de-trimmed, doors, bonnet and boot off.
RS4 B7, Mugello Blue, K&W V3 & HR ARBs, set up by Centre Gravity, Milltek Valved Non Res & cat bypass pipes, BMC air filter, braided hoses, DOT 5.1, Terraclean, MRC Full Carbon Clean, MRC remap 448PS 477NM, 20" S7 alloys with 4mm spacers & Hawke spigots 66.6 > 57.1, AP Racing front discs. Sold Sept 2019. Now rocking an F80 M3

Well I've taken the plunge. Despite the general consensus on this thread being you get what you pay for, I went with my gut instinct with Steve Ulman. Although he is considerably cheaper than others I've had quotes from I've been to see him a couple of times and had a chat and I feel like he's a genuine honest guy who will do a good job.

Also, he's going to paint my window trim and front grille gloss black, and the mirrors in titanium - only for an extra 80 quid (the cost of the titanium paint).

I'm dropping her off next Saturday (3rd March), i'll ask him if he wouldn't mind taking some pictures during the respray and if anybody wants to see them I can post them up here?

Just remember, paint costs the same everywhere. Its half price and that means he’s putting in half as much labour into the prep. Hope you it works out for you!

Dont look at the money. Look at the finish product. If the guys jobs are on point. And your getting it cheap, win win. I paid under 3k for mine and im well happy.ImageImageImage

Well done, It's your car and I'm sure you've made a good a choice as your RS4 is close to your heart. Good luck and keep us all informed as we are all enthusiasts and love a good thread with loads of photo's.

Thanks guys. I'm confident with my choice and am really excited to see the results. Would it be better to post a project thread or keep everything in here? I have a load more planed for the near future, not just the respray.
