retrofitting satnav

Post by kland » Thu Nov 10, 2005 11:03 pm

Hi Guys,

I'm looking at a few RS4's (2000/2001). Would like to have the factory style satnav fitted, but if I find a car I like, is it possible to have it retro fitted? Maybe even by something more modern than what a 2000/2001 fitted satnav would be?

Any help much appreciated as it would really help me in my decision!

Yes it's possible...but modern ones are better.

Craigyb on here has done some modern DVD based satnav retrofits into earlier audi vehicles...he may be able to do one in an RS4..

Or look at PhilT's gallery for pics of his Kenwood (?) system

I'm interested in this too if you find anything of interest, may drop craigyb a PM.

Wonder if this is possible in our cars?

It is possible using the A6 units to upgrade to DVD based RNS-E navigation systems in RS4's

PM me for details.
