Audi Connect

Post by DXB_RS6 » Tue Dec 19, 2017 11:58 am

Came across a YouTube video that talks about audi Connect.

My car is in the workshop for a few days so can't check. It.

Does a 2014 Audi RS6 C7 have audi Connect installed?
Can I connect devices to the Audi hot-spot?

Is it an option to ever upgrade/update the MMI?

Cheers

It was an option, if you have a sim card slot then it is probable you have connect. You'll be able to check the audi codes under your bonnet to verify. If so then you can connect devices to the in car hotspot .Pre facelift is 3g, post is 4g. Different tech internally cannot be upgraded as far as I have been made aware.

I have a sim card slot.

I'm going to give audi my current software version and they will tell me if an update version is available.

Good luck :)

The MMI can tell you if you have an active subscription to connect, if not then call up Audi UK/dealer and ask them to activate it. If the dealer is clueless, then contact Audi UK and they'll switch it on for you along with the online traffic detour thingy.
For me it's an extremely handy system. Press button on steering wheel and say "online destination, B&Q" and it'll bring up all the local B&Q's to you. My 3 year old is getting in on the action now as well "Online detination, Annies house, play" Sadly it doesn't listen to her

All the cars should have traffic updates for the Sat nav. Connect adds Google maps, Google search etc but requires a data SIM to work.
